post is late this week...

This week's post will be late. That's the bad news.

The good news is that I have a great post for later this week -- the great Jens Lindberg. If you're not familiar with that name, we'll do our best to cure that, because you should be.

Lindberg is a member of the great Swedish garage rock band the Maharajas. That alone should makes it an honor for us to talk to him.

He has also been a part of many other great bands, including the Maggots, the Crimson Shadows, the Wylde Mammoths and the Stomachmouths to name just a few. If you are not familiar with these awesome groups, shame, shame, stop reading this now and go do your homework.

Then, this weekend we have an interview scheduled with garage rocks most iconic and influential groups. Of course, we just posted a feature a few weeks ago on the great Standells; the band to whom I earlier referred is equally influential, every bit as cool and is also still performing. We'll let the cat out of the bag as soon as the interview has been done.

Thanks for checking in to Garagerocktopia, your labor of love devoted to 50 years of garage rock, plus power pop, plus protopunkl and all other cool kinds of music.
